Robert Half is looking for a GCP Engineer. You will be a resource who can come in to help organize, clean up, and establish best practices for their GCP environment. You will be using the full suite of GCP services. Compute Services, Networking, Storage Services, Big Data, Security and Identity Management, Management Tools, Cloud AI. Their biggest priority is to tighten up the Security services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy complex, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions using GCP services across the full spectrum, including:
  • Compute Services: Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions
  • Networking: Cloud VPN, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect
  • Storage Services: Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Filestore
  • Big Data: BigQuery, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Dataflow
  • Security and Identity Management: Cloud IAM, Cloud Identity, Cloud Key Management Service
  • Management Tools: Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Stackdriver Error Reporting
  • Cloud AI: Build and deploy machine learning models using tools like Vertex AI and AutoML
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
  • Ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud deployments to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on GCP.
  • Proven experience with Linux system administration.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Cloud Bigtable, Cloud Spanner, or other NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with machine learning concepts and GCP AI Platform.
  • Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer
