  • Primary responsibility is to support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the successful completion of assigned projects. The role leads project scheduling and participates in managing project financials, risk management, and client relations.


Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Field Engineer to join our team in Sumter, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction engineering, with a particular focus on commissioning processes and project scheduling using Primavera P6. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage field activities, ensure project timelines are met, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Management: Oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring that all work is completed according to project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Commissioning: Lead and manage the commissioning process, ensuring that all systems and components are installed, tested, and functioning according to the project requirements.
  • Scheduling: Develop, update, and manage project schedules using Primavera P6. Monitor progress and adjust keep the project on track.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, ensuring all engineering practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets the required standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on-site, providing updates and addressing any concerns or changes in the project scope.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all field activities, including daily logs, material usage, and any changes to the project scope.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction engineering, with a focus on field operations.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management.
  • Experience with commissioning processes in a construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on large-scale manufacturing facility projects.
