**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, Day Shift


**Job Overview**:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Engineer to support the operations of a Class A multi-tenant office environment at Rockwood Office Park in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing building systems, with a focus on water source heat pumps. This role requires someone who can work independently while receiving support from a regional lead engineer.


**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of building systems, with an emphasis on HVAC, specifically water source heat pumps.

- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all building equipment and systems to ensure efficient operation.

- Respond to tenant requests and service issues in a timely and professional manner.

- Monitor building conditions and identify any necessary repairs or upgrades.

- Perform basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general facility maintenance tasks.

- Document maintenance activities, repair logs, and any service requests.

- Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

- Assist with special projects as directed by the regional lead engineer or building management team.


**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management, with at least 1 year in a Class A multi-tenant office environment.

- Experience working with water source heat pumps is required.

- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, especially related to HVAC and building systems.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative to resolve issues.

- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.

- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Compensation:

$30-37/hr


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
