Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitoring Ab Initio jobs, identifying and resolving issues, and minimizing system downtime.
- Incident Management: Responding to production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Performance Optimization: Identifying performance bottlenecks, implementing tuning measures, and optimizing Ab Initio workflows.
- Data Quality: Ensuring data integrity and accuracy by implementing data quality checks and resolving data issues.
- Change Management: Supporting system changes and upgrades, including impact analysis and testing.
- Documentation: Maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation of processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills
- Ab Initio Expertise: Strong knowledge of Ab Initio components (Designer, Conductor, EME, etc.) and their functionalities.
- SQL: Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
- Unix/Linux: Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems for job scheduling and scripting.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
