We are searching for a E&C Engineer ll on behalf of our client for 12 months contract assignment. The person will be responsible for supporting engineering projects within twin cities in MN region. This person will be in the field for significant amounts of time, working with project team focusing on construction projects. Will support multiple projects and different stages.

Travel is between the twin cities and other sites- perhaps some are overnight. Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle and expenses reimburse.


Location: Minneapolis Minnesota onsite

Non-Exempt position. 12 months contract assignment.

No relocation assistance available. Hybrid Monday and Friday remote. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the field.


Responsibilities:

Will work with EPC contractors and field inspectors. In addition to a Project specific team consisting of project manager and engineer, construction field team, construction manager.

Will be working closely with the Project controls cost/scheduling staff.

Will be working closely with project field inspectors and the field inspectors would work to report any NCRs to this resource. If the field inspector sees something, they will consult with a field engineer and the field engineer is able to look at it (something that's not compliant with the specifications or something that's potentially problematic), as the owner of these facilities.

Will work with the lead engineer on the project to be able to understand and interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.

Will be providing information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings. This resource will have responsibility to understand and manage the scope of the contract


Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree related Construction, Engineering.

Previous utility preferred, but other industry design firm, construction is acceptable.

Advanced computer software skills

Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam would be helpful to review EPC contractors’ drawings (technical review communication tool). SAP is a plus.

Must have at least two years of experience
