WestCongress Insurance Services LLC is a New England based Surplus Lines insurance producer with authority to bind commercial general and excess liability insurance policies on behalf of our affiliate, Champlain Specialty Insurance Company (AM Best A- VII).

Tasks will include:

• Work with underwriting personnel to learn and perform basic underwriting support.
• Help manage the day-to day corporate administrative activities and responsibilities.
• Learn and perform a variety of miscellaneous operational tasks.
• Design and present a leadership-focused project relating to your time here with us to the executive leadership team.

Learning Objectives:

• Our interns will gain firsthand leadership skills in a competitive financial services industry.
• Corporate office exposure
• Insurance underwriting knowledge- Learning the life cycle of an insurance policy from submission to policy issuance.

Who: Upcoming Fall Junior/Senior students. Students in Business/Communication/ Risk Management/ Finance/ Interest in Insurance.

When: Summer 2024. 8 weeks. 24 hours a week/4 days a week. Flexible schedule.
