Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the THAAD Weapon System Engineering Directorate for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The role is key to supporting THAAD's Agile development and the Iterative Engineering Technical Reviews (IETRs), ensuring the prime contractor adheres to the necessary engineering rigor throughout the program lifecycle. You will evaluate program processes, assist in verification of requirements, and collaborate closely with the contractor and MDA stakeholders to deliver a sound capability to the Warfighter.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Agile development for THAAD and Iterative Engineering Technical Reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with MDA processes and standards.
  • Review and coordinate the verification of requirements with the contractor.
  • Provide technical oversight and support Systems Engineering milestone reviews.
  • Develop and present executive-level briefings and informational papers.


Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of related engineering or systems engineering experience, preferably in THAAD or MDA engineering programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently or lead teams in problem analysis and resolution.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Familiarity with THAAD, MDA, or complex missile defense systems.
  • Experience supporting missile defense components' development, testing, and integration.
  • Experience with Digital Engineering tools such as DOORS, Windchill, Qlik.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and technical writing abilities.


Security Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance required.
