Our client in the construction industry is seeking a seasoned Bookkeeper to oversee all aspects of our financial operations. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong foundation in accounting principles to handle a variety of financial tasks, from project-based income and cost tracking to payroll processing and financial statement preparation.

This position is 5 days a week onsite at their office in the Hanover, MD area.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including complex project-based invoicing and cost allocation
  • Efficiently manage payroll processing through an external provider
  • Maintain meticulous general ledger records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements for quarterly analysis


The Candidate Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro) and Excel
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate financial statements


Nice If You Have:

  • Familiarity with project or cost accounting and inventory management
  • AIA or similar billing experience
  • Experience in Procore and/or Textura
