We're leaning toward someone with a strong technical background—ideally with hands-on experience in AWS cloud services, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines—to effectively support the technical teams they'll be working with. While experience managing Infrastructure Tech projects could be enough, the key factor will be the candidate's depth of technical knowledge and real-world experience.
Ideally, we're looking for an engineer who has transitioned into a TPM role, though we're also open to a TPM with a strong DevOps background. Media industry experience is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive large, strategic, and technically complex programs.
- Develop and maintain detailed program plans and timelines, accounting for all dependencies.
- Ensure transparency of progress, risks, and issues, proactively driving mitigation and contingency planning.
- Communicate program updates, risks, and summaries to key stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Align involved teams on roles, responsibilities, and accountability for deliverables.
- Facilitate QA and build activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
- Track, manage, and report budgets, ensuring financial accountability for projects.
- Perform capacity planning for teams, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
- Collaborate across multiple technology teams, coordinating schedules, deliverables, and dependencies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of technical components, architecture, tools, and deployment practices.
- Track and report key program metrics, informing stakeholders as necessary.
- Independently resolve conflicts within associated teams, ensuring smooth execution.
- Navigate the organization effectively to drive progress, even amid ambiguity.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Coordinate with external vendors, when applicable.
- May manage Agile ceremonies and processes at the team-of-teams level.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Core Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years managing large-scale, strategic software development programs in a global technology organization.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or Scaled Agile).
- Proven ability to balance both Scrum Lead & Project Management responsibilities.
- Experience with deliverables management, release management, and patch management.
- Ability to lead sprints and work effectively with tech teams.
- Strong risk management, contingency planning, and issue resolution capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and executive reporting skills.
