Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC and Plumbing Concentration)

Location: Dallas, Texas

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical systems, with specific expertise in HVAC and plumbing. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
  • Conduct load calculations, energy simulations, and sizing calculations to ensure system performance and efficiency
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD software
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into building designs
  • Perform site visits and inspections to assess existing systems and identify improvement opportunities
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operation phases of projects
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to HVAC and plumbing systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and HVAC design software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies is a plus
