Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Research Associate I/II with expertise in molecular biology to support our research and development efforts. This role involves conducting and optimizing molecular biology assays, supporting project design, and contributing to cross-functional teams to advance innovative therapeutic solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and capable of mentoring junior team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize molecular biology and protein chemistry experiments, including DNA/RNA/protein purification/extraction, PCR, and qPCR assays
  • Maintain mammalian cell culture using sterile technique
  • Prepare cell and/or tissue samples for downstream molecular biology and protein chemistry analyses
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized experimental records, including an electronic laboratory notebook
  • Contribute to experimental planning and troubleshooting as needed
  • Maintain lab organization, inventory management, and ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Industry experience preferred.


Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience with Western blotting, ELISA


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with ability to present ideas, information, and data effectively
  • Excellent work ethic, flexibility, and collaborative mindset
