JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a Mobile Engineering Director to join one of their top financial clients in New York City (hybrid on site). This individual will be part of the Mobile Engineering team and will be responsible for managing a team of mobile engineers focused on the constant development and improvement of their mobile application used by millions of consumers across the globe. This is mostly a people management role (anywhere from 10-25 direct reports), but we are seeking someone from a strong development and design background that has grown into a people leader. This person should have a very sharp eye for design and development best practices, and while they will rarely hands-on code, they will provide guidance and leadership to new products. This person should be able to think with a consumer first mindset and have a proven track record of creating new products and enhancements with the goal of enhanced external consumer experience.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 10+ years’ experience managing technical development teams (mobile preferred, if not, front end focused)

- Strong understanding of application architecture, best practices and designing highly complex applications

- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives with a consumer/client first mindset

- Prior experience working at tech first enterprises (FANG, FinTechs)


NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Technical background as a Mobile Developer (IOS or Android)

- Prior experience managing Mobile teams

- Coming from organizations like or having exposure to similar apps such as Facebook, Google, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Stripe, Shopify, Plaid, Coinbase, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.



Starting base salary begins at $170K, max base: $255K, bonus, benefits and incentives can push upwards of $100K+.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.
