GAAP Accounting:

  • Establish and maintain accounting and financial reporting best practice.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting, principally as it is applied to Firstrust’s Financials.
  • Primary responsibilities will include: Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analysis
  • Regulatory quarterly FDIC Call Report and schedules
  • Annual Report and schedules
  • Respond to audit reviews and questions.

Finance:

The position requires Finance skills that helps drives informed decision making. Such concepts include:

  • Using tools for Funds Transfer Pricing and running model and reports.
  • Budgeting for Net Interest Income.
  • Understanding the concepts of Profitability, Returns, and financial ratios.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.

Budget:

  • This candidate should have the basic skills to learn the Budget Net Interest Income model, budget process, and analysis.
  • Maintain the highest level of control environment to ensure integrity and accuracy of data through validation and reconciliation controls around budget reports, analysis, and projections.
  • Learn how to modify the model as needed.
  • Prepare various budget reports.
  • Assists in preparations for budget meetings.
  • Assist in providing analysis for developing new initiatives and projection

OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Accounting group’s technical liaison with Information Technology to develop and maintain Management Reporting routines.
  • Participate in Information Reporting initiatives within the Bank.
  • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate with other employees at the Bank.
  • This position will need to detect discrepancies in reporting and discuss and resolve issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA Certified
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience required
  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • Superior written and communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead a project and communicate results.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficient with MS office, particularly Excel and Word.
