Position Overview: Marketing & Sales Interns will work closely with our Marketing and Advertising Sales Teams. This internship offers invaluable experience in advertising sales, event production, marketing, and publishing.

Requirements:

  • This is an in-person, unpaid internship.
  • Applicants must be completing this internship in exchange for course credit at their college/university.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.
  • Flexibility to work unusual hours based on event timelines, including occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience or campus involvement in event planning.
  • Prior work experience or campus involvement in customer service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, CRMs, or event management platforms.

Learning Opportunities:

  • Shadow highly successful sales professionals.
  • Gain an in-depth look at the publishing industry.
  • Manage CRM data.
  • Assist with the deliverables for each event.
  • Research various events, individuals, and companies to discover new opportunities for Hour Media.
  • Develop digital marketing skills and execute event campaigns across various social media platforms.
  • Coordinate event logistics with Hour Media clients and customers.
  • Archive event information (attendance, invoices, etc.) on the company’s server.
  • Distribute promotional materials to internal and external sources.
  • Shadow and assist Marketing and Event Coordinators.
