We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Automation SDET (Java) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in our Agile Software Delivery methodology, focusing on developing automated tests within each iteration. This role requires a proactive approach to drive Test Driven Development (TDD) and ensure immediate feedback on the modules being developed.
Responsibilities
- Work in an Agile Software Delivery methodology highly focused on developing automated tests within an iteration.
- Work with the project team to drive Test Driven Development where modules being worked on are tested right away for immediate feedback.
- Ability to act as a technical project manager and manage an end-to-end project across multiple squads, applications, platforms and disciplines.
- Provide a risk assessment on the defects identified and set the correct priority and severity.
- Automation is NOT the only mechanism for quality. As an SQE, you are expected to perform ad-hoc/exploratory tests from a feature and regression testing.
- Ability to develop and execute perform Performance Tests.
- Ability to conduct production monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting and support.
- Ability to develop, document, and maintain test data, data validation, and end-to[1]end testing flows.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of advanced Java development
- 3+ years of solid working experience on developing Test automation scripts specifically object-oriented frameworks (Java, Selenium, TestNG, Maven and Jmeter)
- Hands on experience working with AWS SQS, Kinesis, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Hands on experience with the automated testing of front end, microservices, and serverless applications.
- Hands on experience automating RESTful APIs.
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of experience with Continuous Integration, Jenkins, Git, Spring Boot.
- 1+ year(s) of experience as a test engineering within an Agile environment.
- 2+ years of Performance testing experience using Jmeter.
- Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams and documentation, test plans, testing strategies, and detail defect reports.
- Exposure to Agile Management tools such as Jira.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $19 - $29/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
