$20-$23/hour based on experience, education and/or certifications

Job Description:

• Travel to and from various construction sites
• Perform materials testing on concrete, fill soils, asphalt, aggregates, grout, mortar
• Inspection of footings, rebar, and masonry to ensure that all project specifications are met
• Perform lab testing on soil samples
• Transport equipment to and from other offices
• Assist other offices with field work when necessary
• Onsite sampling of construction materials, including concrete, mortar, soils, various other aggregates
• Onsite soil compaction testing and bearing inspections
• Onsite rebar and steel inspections
• Perform laboratory tests of soils including grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, Proctor Tests, crush count, etc.
• Comprehensive concrete strength tests

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2 or 4 year degree in civil engineering/civil engineering technology OR 1-2 years of experience and related certifications
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and full 10 panel drug screen
• Must have a valid DL and a clean driving record in order to drive company vehicles
• Great communication skills
• Computer proficiency

Preferred Certifications:

• ACI Level 1-4
• Nuclear Density Certfication
• NICET
