Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Retina Specialist to join our team. The

Retina Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of

retina-related conditions and diseases. The ideal candidate should have specialized

training in the medical and surgical management of retinal disorders, and a commitment to

providing high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat diseases and conditions affecting the retina, macula, and vitreous.
  • Perform retinal surgeries, including vitrectomy, laser treatments, and intravitreal injections.
  • Manage retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and other related disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams, interpret imaging studies (OCT, fluorescein angiography, etc.), and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients.
  • Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Participate in clinical research and continuous education to stay current with advancements in retina care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide consultations and second opinions on complex retinal cases.


Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in retina surgery or vitreoretinal diseases.
  • Board certification in ophthalmology.
  • State medical license to practice as an ophthalmologist.
  • Strong proficiency in retinal surgeries and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in retina surgery and treatment technologies.


Work Environment:

  • Office-based with regular outpatient procedures and surgeries.
  • Interaction with a diverse patient population, including both routine and complex cases.
