Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a PE with 8+ years of total experience in HVAC and plumbing design. This is a senior level position that requires excellent judgement, client relations, and professional ethics. We are a professional services firm where service and client relations are our top priority. We will consider high performing PE's with less experience and excellent references. The successful candidate will be assigned project management duties and must be capable of clear communication with clients and able to build our clients' confidence in you. We are looking for the person that enjoys helping people, solving problems, and creating innovative designs. Experience with fire sprinkler design and building commissioning is also a plus.

We are an MEP Consulting Engineering firm serving northwest Florida, south Alabama, and Georgia. We provide Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Sprinkler design as well as Energy Management and Commissioning Services. Project types include K12, University, local and state government, Military, Hospitals, Museums, and others. Project delivery is predominately public bid, but there are some design-build type projects.

This position requires strong communication and computer skills and the ability to contribute immediately. The position involves design of HVAC and plumbing systems with various forms of delivery, but predominately public bid. Candidates must have a PE license (or be able to obtain one shortly) in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to become licensed in FL, GA, and AL. This is a mid - senior level position with unlimited potential for the right candidate. Candidates must have experience managing multiple projects and coordinating multiple disciplines. Candidates must have sufficient experience to direct and supervise work of junior level engineers and designers.

The engineer must be able to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. The engineer must be able to maintain client relationships by delivering quality designs in a timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 to $125,000.00 /year dependent on experience.

Our main office is located in northwest Florida in one of the ten lowest cost of living counties in Florida according to the website Niche. This area enjoys a low cost of living and the convenience of larger communities within 1 hour travel time (Panama City, Panama City Beach, Tallahassee, and Dothan). This position will be based in our main office in Marianna, FL with future potential to work from our office in Auburn, AL.
