Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico

Our hospital in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is currently recruiting for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and inpatient adult/general psychiatrist. We are committed to providing high-quality psychiatric care to our community and are seeking a dynamic leader to join our team.


Position Overview:

This is a full-time, employed position with a Monday-to-Friday schedule. The CMO will also provide weekend coverage on a 1:5 rotation and participate in overnight calls once per week. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (psych NP) support will be available to assist with patient care. The position offers an above-average base salary and a manageable caseload.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership as the Chief Medical Officer, overseeing all aspects of clinical care and medical staff.
  • Provide inpatient psychiatric care to adult patients.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in weekend coverage and overnight call as required.
  • Supervise and support psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.


Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Experience as a Medical Director or in a leadership role preferred.
  • Active New Mexico medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
