OKCIC is hiring a Recruiter to our HR Team. This position will be responsible for attracting and hiring qualified healthcare professionals to fill positions within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, sourcing, interviewing, and working closely with department managers to identify staffing needs and ensure the recruitment of highly skilled candidates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and the unique challenges and regulations it faces.


Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with department managers to understand their hiring needs and job specifications.
  • Develops and maintains a pipeline of eligible candidates for future job openings.
  • Creates and updates job descriptions and job postings.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications.
  • Leads the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. 
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date recruitment records and reports.
  • Reviews resumes, conducts phone screenings, and assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit within the organization. Determines applicant qualifications by analyzing responses; verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements. 
  • May schedule and conduct interviews with candidates, both in person and via videoconferencing, to evaluate their skills, experience, and fit for specific roles.
  • Negotiates employment terms and conditions, and extends job offers to selected candidates.
  • Ensures all hiring paperwork including background checks and drug tests are complete and works closely with Employee Health to ensure all immunizations and onboarding requirements have been met. 
  • Utilizes various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media, networking events, community services, colleges, employment agencies, and professional associations to find potential candidates.
  • Participates in career fairs and recruitment events to promote the organization and attract candidates.
  • Conducts regular follow-up with managers and employees to determine the effectiveness of recruiting.
  • Continuously works on improving the recruitment process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Arranges temporary assistance as needed; negotiates fees and builds relations with temporary agencies.
  • Facilitates National Health Service Corps (NHSC) recruitment portal activities for clinic sites.
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures and conducting training. 
  • Assists with personnel file compliance.
  • Provides information as needed regarding personnel policies and procedures.
  • Manages FLSA audits on all newly added positions. 


Qualifications

  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare recruitment to include a minimum of 2 years specifically working in Physician Recruitment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare staffing processes, regulations, and industry trends. 
  • Must maintain current knowledge and up-to-date information related to recruiting, as well as legislation and laws supporting hiring decisions. 
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy, accountability, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat DC. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and hiring managers. 
  • Applicant Tracking System experience required, Paycom ATS preferred. 
  • Affirmative Action reporting experience preferred.
