We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients of all ages. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.


Duties:

- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist

- Provide therapeutic interventions and activities to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being

- Help patients develop or regain daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding

- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to assess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance independence

- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records


Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred

- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and their application in occupational therapy

- Ability to work effectively in acute care settings and occupational health environments
