We have a challenging opportunity for a strong Data Analyst for a high-growth and highly acquisitive $1B+ residential services company in Newark DE (this is a hybrid position).


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in documenting business requirements for solution development by effectively articulating and summarizing business reporting needs
  • Develop a strong relationship with IT and business users to understand their data and visualization needs
  • Conducts and facilitates analyses, issues identification
  • Perform analysis and adjust existing reports to optimize user experience
  • Perform ongoing data validations when required to ensure data product quality and accuracy
  • Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence
  • Implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
  • Perform What-If analysis using Power BI
  • Provide a point-of-view to business team on enhancement opportunities using Power BI
  • Continually monitor enhancements to BI tools or emerging technologies for potential value
  • Analyzes problems and determines root causes
  • Uncover data trends and weave critical information together to create a compelling narrative, tapping into creativity to engage and inform our audiences using visualization tools


Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data & Analytics or related field with proficiency in Power BI and SQL
  • Strong Power BI expertise with Data Analyst skills
  • 5+ years experience using Power BI
  • Data-driven analysis with a visual storyteller’s mindset - Excellent Data story telling skills using Power Bi, compelling visual and verbal story telling
  • Accomplished at designing reports, dashboards and data summaries for technical and non-technical audiences and facilitating implementation of business strategies and missions
  • Highly responsive to Business Team inputs and requirements
  • Strong focus on customer and stakeholder satisfaction using Data Visualizations
  • Analytical Mindset – Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data from appropriate sources and applies data science and data analytics; Uses intuition and experience to complement data
  • Excellent business communication skills, both verbal and written to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work in teams and one-on-one with senior business team members—not just taking direction but advising, guiding, peering, and supporting success
  • Quick and adaptive learner that can work independently
  • Finance Domain exposure, experience is a plus
  • Able to move beyond raw data to get to the “Why” and eventually to the “What should we do”
  • Partner closely with IT, Senior Business users to analyze reporting workflows, understand data capture and movement
  • Maintain thorough documentation of internal processes/procedures and individual projects
  • Performs complex analyses relating to: data visualization, data management, data integrity, manipulating, forecasting, projecting, predicting, or developing dashboards
  • Lead the design and development of analytic and automation solutions to query, mine, and analyze large data sets leveraging data analytical tools
  • Experience with Power BI, integration with Snowflake, Microsoft products, cloud data sources like AWS
  • Experience in Data cleaning and preparation, Data analysis and exploration.
  • Developing high quality Power Bi Reports, dashboard, KPI scorecards with high quality and highly performant designs
  • Experience in DAX programing/queries
  • Statistical Analysis, Modeling, Visualizations
  • Data Query capabilities using SQL/stored procedures to extract data into reporting layer, to pull data from Snowflake, SQL Server and other data stores
  • Ability to perform deep analysis on data sources and develop data stories
  • Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
  • Ability to identify suitable data visualization options to present data per business requirements
  • Exposure or experience with DOMO (BI product) Reporting/dashboarding a plus
  • Exceptional math, spreadsheet, and data analytics skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent in all things Microsoft Excel including its full array of formulas, pivot tables, graphs, etc.
  • Good understanding of Data management concepts, including diagnostics and resolution of data errors
  • Strong experience with Agile Data Delivery practices
