Safety Manager

As a safety manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive safety programs, procedures, and policies to mitigate risks and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct training and presentations for safety matters and accident prevention.
• Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
• Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and standards to ensure the plant remains in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
• Provide leadership, training, and analysis to leadership, managers, and employees in the identification of potential hazards and accident prevention.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all employees through regular communication, training initiatives, and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree
• 3-5 years of experience in safety management or a related field within a manufacturing industry
• Experience in factory or warehouse operation management
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in using safety management systems and tools.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
