Evansville, United States H-E Parts International Full time

As the HR Director for North America, you will lead the regional HR strategy, ensuring alignment with global priorities while driving initiatives that foster a high-performance culture. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing all HR functions across the region, from talent acquisition and leadership development to employee engagement and compliance. You will be a trusted partner to the business, enabling our leaders and teams to achieve organizational success through innovative and impactful HR practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the North America HR strategy, aligning with global priorities to drive organizational goals. Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all HR-related matters.
  • Talent Management: Lead end-to-end talent processes, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and career development programs to attract, retain, and grow top talent.
  • Employee Engagement: Champion a culture of engagement by designing and implementing initiatives that enhance employee experience, foster inclusion, and align with company values.
  • Leadership Development: Design and deliver leadership development programs that empower managers to lead with impact, accountability, and integrity.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as internal policies. Proactively manage HR risks and maintain ethical standards across the organization.
  • HR Operations: Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee relations to ensure efficient and effective operations across the region.
  • Change Management: Drive organizational transformation and change initiatives, supporting teams to adapt and thrive in a dynamic business environment.

Your Profile

  • Experience: at least 10–15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with proven expertise in managing HR functions at a regional or global level. Experience in the USA is necessary, and in Canada is relevant plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
  • Industry experience: proven experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction or mining industry is strongly preferred.

Key Competencies:

  • Excellence: A concern for working well or for surpassing a standard of excellence
  • Analytical Thinking: Understanding a situation, issue, problem, etc. by breaking it into smaller pieces, or tracing the implications of a situation in a step-by-step way.
  • Customer Service: Focusing one’s efforts on discovering and meeting the customer’s or client’s needs.
  • Teamwork: Implies the intention to work cooperatively with others, to be part of a team, to work together, as opposed to working separately or competitively.
  • Self-awareness: Reading one’s own emotions and recognizing their impact on one’s performance; gut sense.
  • Exceptional problem-solver—ability to define a problem and analyze it before coming to conclusions.
  • Possess a strong desire to innovate; able to think creatively; generate out-of-the-box ideas to circumvent barriers to growth and streamline processes.
  • Ability to operate in a face-paced environment with competing priorities across multiple time zones.
  • Extraordinary comfort with HR data and systems.

If you are an energetic, forward-thinking HR leader ready to take on a key regional role in a growing organization, we would love to hear from you.
