About the Company - A top 100 ENR firm is urgently looking for a Building Automation SME for their Systems Integration group based out of Fremont California.



About the Role - Key Responsibilities:



Niagara System Development & Upgrades:

  • Design, develop, and program Niagara-based building automation systems (BAS).
  • Perform upgrades to existing Niagara platforms, ensuring compatibility, performance, and scalability.
  • Configure and integrate hardware, software, and third-party systems into the Niagara framework.
  • Optimize system functionality for energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Niagara systems.
  • Provide hands-on support for system commissioning and testing.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including project plans, system diagrams, and user manuals.

Client Engagement:

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver tailored automation systems.
  • Provide training and support to clients for system operation and management.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships, focusing on client satisfaction and retention.

Project Management:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory standards during project execution.



Qualifications - Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Expertise in Niagara Framework (N4 preferred), including development, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in BACnet, Modbus, and other building automation communication protocols.
  • Experience with system design tools and programming languages related to building automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Niagara Framework (e.g., Niagara AX or N4) is a plus.
