Job Title: Payroll Specialist (Contract - 2 months)

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Salary: $32 per hour

LHH is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our client's team on a contract basis. This position is located in Newport Beach, CA, and offers an hourly rate of $32.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with union regulations and contracts.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and provide excellent customer service to employees.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management as needed.
  • Assist with payroll audits and tax filings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist
  • Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of union payroll processes and compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
