Tractorbeam is seeking a Product Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative, user-centered solutions for our clients. You’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver impactful designs in areas such as hospitality, retail, automotive, and multi-family. This is a contract position with a three-month contract term and a potential contract extension or full-time offer of employment after the engagement has concluded.

What You’ll Do:


Design Exceptional Products

  • Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will collaborate with researchers, developers, and other stakeholders to design user-centered digital products.
  • Create deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, user artifacts, and high-fidelity designs to support the product development lifecycle.
  • Use client design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across product ecosystems. • Translate research insights and business requirements into actionable design solutions.

Research & Insights

  • Plan and conduct user research to understand behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into insights that inform design decisions.
  • Incorporate feedback from usability testing and stakeholder input to refine designs iteratively.

Collaborate & Communicate

  • Work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and team members to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
  • Participate in agile team rituals, providing design deliverables and feedback within an iterative development process.
  • Co-facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to align on goals and solutions. Contribute to Innovation
  • Apply Human-Centered Design principles and Product Design methodologies to create intuitive, effective solutions.
  • Stay current on design trends and tools, integrating new techniques into your work as appropriate.
  • Support the evolution of design systems and best practices to enhance consistency and usability across products.


What You’ll Bring:


Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience designing digital products as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX and product design, including wireframes, artifacts, and low and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage contemporary and innovative design aesthetics • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience conducting and applying user research and usability testing insights.
  • Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-first principles for web and native apps.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within Agile development teams using tools like Jira or Wrike.
  • Knowledge of creating and using design systems to ensure consistency across digital products.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Experience planning and facilitating workshops or collaborative sessions.
