OVERVIEW

My client is seeking Junior and Senior Embedded Software Engineers with automotive industry experience to design & develop firmware for Battery Management Systems (BMS) deployed in state of the art Electric Vehicle (EV) Commercial Trucks, Busses, & Transportation systems.

Note well: This is NOT a FULL STACK developer job and Sponsorship is NOT available.

This is a full-time on-site position with a forward-thinking EV manufacturer. The company has a “start-up” mindset with the backing of its parent – a multinational automotive powerhouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, & test real-time embedded software for BMS systems
  • Design, develop & create firmware test the control systems
  • Support DFMEA’s for controls & battery systems

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics
  • Experience - Junior SW Engineer: 3+ years / Senior SW Engineer: 6+ years
  • Demonstrated experience developing firmware on PPC, ARM, DSP, & RISC based microprocessors
  • Programming experience in C & C++
  • Must have CAN bus dev experience w/ CANoe, CANalyzer, CANdela
  • Development methodologies / standards including Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), Verification & Validation (V&V / V-Model) & MISRA highly desired
  • Desired: Familiarity with Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect and Perforce QAC
  • Plusses: MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, UML
  • Desired: experience w/ automotive batteries mid-high voltage (24V, 48V, 350V, 700V)
