JOB Summary:

  • The Infoblox Threat Defense Expert will be responsible for implementing and managing Infoblox threat defense solutions specifically tailored for a large Enterprise level network infrastructure. This role requires advanced knowledge of DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) technologies, with a strong focus on Infoblox’s threat defense model to protect the organization against DNS-based threats and ensure the security and integrity of the network. This role is critical in ensuring that the Enterprise level network is secure, resilient, and capable of withstanding sophisticated cyber threats.


Job Duties:

  • Threat Defense Implementation:
  • Design and deploy Infoblox threat defense solutions to safeguard the Enterprise level network.
  • Implement DNS security measures, including DNS firewalling, DNSSEC, and threat intelligence integration.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive threat model using Infoblox technologies to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Network Security Management:
  • Monitor and respond to DNS-based threats in real-time using Infoblox threat defense tools.
  • Configure and maintain Infoblox security features to ensure continuous protection against evolving threats.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enhance the overall security posture of the Enterprise network.
  • System Integration and Optimization:
  • Integrate Infoblox threat defense solutions with existing security systems and protocols.
  • Optimize the performance of Infoblox appliances to ensure efficient threat detection and response.
  • Regularly update and fine-tune the Infoblox threat defense model to adapt to new vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
  • Support and Incident Response:
  • Provide expert-level support during security incidents, utilizing Infoblox tools to analyze and mitigate threats.
  • Lead incident response efforts related to DNS-based attacks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Document all security incidents, changes, and configurations related to Infoblox threat defense solutions.
  • Training and Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Enterprise IT and security teams to ensure seamless operation of Infoblox threat defense systems.
  • Train team members on Infoblox threat defense technologies and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends and Infoblox features to continuously improve threat defense strategies.


Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on DDI and threat defense.
  • Hands-on experience with Infoblox products in a large-scale, high-security environment.
  • Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and DNS security concepts.
  • Extensive experience with Infoblox threat defense solutions, including DNS firewalling and threat intelligence.
  • Proven ability to design and implement threat models using Infoblox technology.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to respond swiftly to security threats.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
