Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior Utility Scheduler to work on transmission and distribution projects. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience scheduling in Primavera P6. Responsibilities include developing, managing, and maintaining detailed project schedules; coordinating with project managers and team members for effective resource allocation; tracking project progress and preparing regular status reports; and identifying potential scheduling risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure timely project completion.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Technical Field.
  • 5- 8 years related scheduling experience, or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 9-12 years relevant scheduling experience is required with extensive experience in using Primavera P6 for project scheduling and familiarity with Oracle systems, especially for integrating schedules with broader resource and enterprise systems.
  • Must be able to manage complex, large-scale utility projects, ensuring everything from timelines to resource allocation is optimized.
  • Ability to build a schedule from an estimate, Project Diagram or verbal Scope of Work.
  • Strong analytical skills and evaluation techniques.
  • Extensive experience in using Primavera P6 for project scheduling and familiarity with Oracle systems, especially for integrating schedules with broader resource and enterprise systems.
  • Experience and proficiency in using PC software and mainframe computer applications such as Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, Asset suite 8, and Primavera P6.
  • Exposure to Oracle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize a variety of independent assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate meetings, problem solve and drive to resolution.
  • Ability to schedule and facilitate project meetings with all stakeholders in the office or field environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and in field construction sites.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
