This role is essential tomaintaining our enterprise-grade infrastructure, which includes comprehensive Oracle, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2 and MicrosoftSQL Server database administration across Production, Development, and Test environments. The successful candidate willmanage our complex virtualized environment consisting of 300+ VMware virtual servers and physical rack-mounted systems,integrated with NetApp All Flash array and legacy EMC SAN storage solutions and will be a key participant in their migrationand refactoring in the AWS cloud. Key responsibilities encompass advanced IBM Cognos Business Intelligence administration,web services management, and enterprise backup operations using CommVault Complete Data Protection platform and AWSBackup utilities to perform for nightly server and database backups. This position requires expertise in maintaining highavailability, multi-tier database environments while ensuring optimal performance, security, and disaster recovery capabilitiesacross all systems supporting theClient data infrastructure. This role demands a technical professional capable of managing complex enterprise systems in a mission-critical environment whereuptime and data integrity are paramount to supporting educational services across the state.Duties and Responsibilities:Database installation, configuration, and version upgradesComprehensive tablespace and storage managementDatabase reorganization through export/import utilitiesSchema management including tables, indexes, and partitionsPerformance tuning including Oracle memory optimizationRollback segment and extent managementDatabase backup, recovery, and restoration operationsProduction-to-test database refreshesOracle CPU patching and RAC administrationCoordination with Oracle support for production hotfixesOracle Application Server & Portal Support:Oracle 12c Application Server Portal administrationRegular database maintenance and logical backupsSQL*Loader operations for payroll file processingTAR management and Oracle consultant coordination
