Clinic Description

Focus Sleep Centers, part of Focus Health Management, is an accredited sleep disorder testing and treatment center located in Southaven, MS, and Germantown, TN. Each clinic's nurse practitioner provides initial assessments and follow-up care and education, as well as DOT and FFA clearance.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Assistant at Focus Sleep Centers, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The role will consist of:

  • Basic triage
  • Download CPAP/BIPAP/APAP reports
  • Ensure the Epworth Sleepiness scale is completed on their paperwork and entered in EMR
  • Ensure all paperwork is properly completed and uploaded to EMR
  • Follow any instructions from Nurse Practitioner after the visit to take any and all appropriate actions
  • Send and document equipment orders
  • Ensure that all charts are completed and given to front desk
  • Prepare clinic each day
  • Assist with phones and front desk duties as needed
  • Travel to Germantown 1-2 days per week or as schedule requires


Qualifications

  • Previous triage experience is a strong plus
  • Excellent skill in working professionally and effectively with patients, family members, co-workers, and providers, both in person and on the phone
  • Possess sufficient academic, technical and clerical skills and knowledge to evaluate, troubleshoot, research and resolve day-to-day issues
  • Fluent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in ensuring Customer Satisfaction and improving the overall Customer Experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to work in a steady environment and handle the workload timely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Good time management skills
  • Completion of pre-employment assessment (will be sent to qualifying applicants)
