Job Description:

The primary objective of this project is to enhance the systems utilized for managing commercial mortgages, with a focus on improving efficiency and user experience. The Product Owner will serve as a vital liaison between the business and technology teams, ensuring that the needs and concerns of all stakeholders are effectively communicated and addressed. This role involves managing emerging issues, providing user support for inquiries and challenges, and articulating clear requirements for necessary modifications and updates. Additionally, the Product Owner will work to streamline processes related to booking and locking service loans, as well as agency reporting and overall application oversight, ultimately leading to more efficient operations and improved risk management in commercial lending. The Product Owner will prioritize issues based on urgency and impact, ensuring that critical problems are resolved promptly. They will also oversee the testing of updates to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and functional correctness. By facilitating ongoing communication and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, the Product Owner will play a key role in ensuring that the commercial mortgage servicing systems operate effectively, thereby supporting the organization in achieving its strategic objectives. Overall, this position is strategically focused on optimizing operational processes and strengthening risk management practices within the commercial lending domain.

  1. Provide initial triage of all CMS application issues to assist in determining appropriate routing for resolution.
  2. Provide troubleshooting and access support requests for users in the Strategy SOR and other CMS applications.
  3. Serve as Product Owner on behalf of business stakeholders for CMS applications, following enterprise Agile methodology.
  4. Intake documentation, create user stories, business cases, and business value statements, and facilitate discovery through implementation phases of CMS process and technology improvements; champion system changes that mitigate risk and/or improve overall efficiency.
  5. Liaise between the business and Technology teams to execute CMS application enhancements, ongoing maintenance, and sunsetting of CMS technology.
  6. Work with CMS process owners, technology teams, and Technology Release Management to define priorities for defect fixes and minor enhancements, ensuring appropriate release scheduling.
  7. Complete required SDLC documentation in a timely manner for releases.
  8. Serve as Application Business Owner (ABO) for key SOR applications, including Strategy Wholesale and Full Circle, or as Alternate ABO partnering with process owner ABO for CMS applications.
  9. Coordinate or participate in the coordination of UAT activities for maintenance releases.
  10. Facilitate and ensure complete production validation for all maintenance releases.
  11. Coordinate and/or conduct application testing and validation for all CMS system BCP activity.
  12. Maintain documentation of all activity in the work queue (CMS Service Desk), adhering to enterprise and procedural SLAs.
  13. Create and deliver CMS System Alert and CMS Application Advisory communications related to application issues/outages, releases, and other important systems information.
  14. Maintain CMS Calendar to track and account for application issues, outages, and releases.
  15. Serve as system representative and/or Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SHRP, audit, regulatory, and other enterprise-required efforts impacting CMS systems.
  16. Support ad hoc CMS business needs.
