Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Software Engineer with expertise in C# .NET, SQL Server, AWS Data technologies (including Athena, Glue, PySpark, Scala, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Airflow), and financial reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a knack for debugging, and an ability to correct migration scripts written in .NET C# and TSQL. They should possess excellent communication skills and be capable of effectively working with multiple business and external stakeholders, as well as lead offshore teams in different time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data migration solutions using C# .NET and SQL Server.
Develop and manage data pipelines using AWS data technologies including Athena, Glue, PySpark, Scala, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Airflow.
Review, debug, and optimize migration scripts written in .NET C# and T-SQL.
Conduct thorough testing and verification of data migration processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Collaborate with financial teams to understand reconciliation requirements and incorporate them into migration solutions.
Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies discovered during data migration and implement corrective measures.
Document technical specifications, processes, and results for future reference and audits.
Work closely with project managers, test teams, engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver migration projects on time.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Software Engineer specializing in data migration.
Proficiency in C# .NET and SQL Server.
Strong knowledge of AWS data technologies including Athena, Glue, PySpark, Scala, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Airflow.
Experience with PowerShell scripting.
In-depth understanding of financial reconciliation processes.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to analyze system behaviors and implement necessary corrections.
Experience with writing and optimizing T-SQL scripts.
Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple business and external stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively with offshore teams across different time zones.
Excellent structuring and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services or Ecommerce industry especially on the GL and financial/transaction reconciliations.
Knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations.
Familiarity with data migration tools and best practices.
