Job Title: Sr Oracle Database Developer

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Description:

We are seeking an Experienced Sr Oracle Database Developer with strong skills in Oracle coding to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in data analysis, requirements development, and data modeling, along with extensive experience in application backend support, Oracle PL/SQL, and MS SQL server development. The candidate should also have expertise in building interfaces between business applications and be familiar with Agile/Scrum processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis and develop requirements and data models.
  • Provide application backend support, including Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL server development.
  • Build interfaces between business applications.
  • Work within an Agile/Scrum process, collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with business users and developers to understand requirements and provide timely updates on project status.
  • Write and maintain/extend existing PL/SQL code to convert initial data sets, implement system enhancements, generate reports, and improve transaction editing processes.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and data modeling to ensure efficient and effective data solutions.
  • Utilize other data integration tools and techniques, including IBM DataStage, web services, messaging, and modern data warehousing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server Database Development.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Background in data integration between business systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business users and developers.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum process is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with other data integration tools and techniques, such as IBM DataStage, web services, and messaging.
  • Proven ability to analyze requirements and develop data models.
  • Experience in building interfaces between business applications.
  • Ability to write clear and maintainable code to meet project requirements.
