Landscape Designer

Required to work with and communicate effectively and efficiently directly with supervisor, installation crews, suppliers, customers, and homeowners. Ability to receive and share information via meeting-phone-text-email regarding design, planting, layout, and construction. Proficient at receiving, manipulating, and sharing electronic files (i.e. site plans) that include but are not limited to pdf, cad, and Vectorworks files. Create original landscape designs in Vectorworks in a timely manner that fit the needs of the customer, differing community requirements, budgets, local plant material, and construction needs. Reach out to suppliers and get materials quoted to complete job needs. Could be pavers, retaining walls of a variety of types, bedding material, garden boxes, fire pits, etc. to encompass a complete landscape and outdoor environment. Social skills to function in an office environment in a positive and beneficial way.

·        Knowledge of local plant material

·        Basic knowledge of sprinkler systems

·        Minimum workday Monday through Friday 9-5

·        Ability and skills to meet with customers/homeowners and accurately exchange information

·        Good communication skills both written and verbal

·        Math and bidding skills to form and complete landscape quotes

·        Computer proficiency in Excel, CAD, Vectorworks, Word, and Email

·        Ability to communicate with vendors and subcontractors to create quotes

• Must be a licensed and insurable driver
