SQL Server Database Administrator with Azure

Job Description :


Infosys is seeking an SQL Server Database Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.


Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Blue Ash, OH, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience

• At least 4 years of SQL Database Operations support

• Trouble shooting in Clustered environments, High Availability solutions including: Availability Group, Log shipping, replication etc.

• Experienced with: backups and restores identifying and resolving blocking issues.

• Conduct: Performance Tuning and query optimization

• Working knowledge of: MS SQL Server Security and Database Permissions

• Perform: Database Migration and upgrades of SQL Server instances

• Experienced in planning, implementing, and performing DR activities.

• Exposure in Upgrades knowledge on Capacity planning based on growth

• Experienced in Requirement gathering, estimation and documentation.

• Provide 24-7 on call support as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced in performing Lead activities and working with clients directly

• Experienced in supporting SQL Azure and deploying database instance thru: Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) is an added advantage

• Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills

• Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources

• Exceptional Organizational Skills

• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently

• Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude

• Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

• ITIL framework knowledge is an added advantage


The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
