Introduction

As a Vice President of Workforce Planning, you will ensure optimal staffing levels to meet organizational goals and objectives. You will analyze current workforce data, forecast future workforce needs, and develop strategies to address any gaps or surpluses. You will collaborate with Managing Partners, HR, department managers, and other stakeholders to understand staffing requirements, identifying trends and patterns in workforce data, and recommend appropriate actions to maintain workforce efficiency. Additionally, you will create and implement workforce planning policies and procedures, monitoring workforce metrics, and providing regular reports and insights to senior management. Your ability to analyze complex data, communicate effectively, and provide strategic recommendations will be essential in this role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Forecast future workforce needs based on business goals, potential lines of business, industry trends, and other relevant factors.
  • Collaborate with HR, department managers, and other stakeholders to understand staffing requirements and priorities.
  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to address staffing gaps or surpluses.
  • Monitor and evaluate workforce metrics, such as turnover rates, productivity, and employee satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain workforce planning policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on workforce planning initiatives and outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in workforce planning and management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of workforce management tools and technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on workforce planning matters, providing guidance and support to other departments as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 7-10 years’ experience in Workforce Planning for companies of 100+ employees
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, HR analytics, or a related role.
  • Project Management software experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in workforce management software and tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Certification in workforce planning or HR analytics (e.g., Workforce Planning Professional, HR Analytics Professional) is a plus.
