Position Overview

Our Commercial Energy team is focused on providing solar energy, battery storage, and EV charging solutions for commercial, industrial, civic, and multi-family properties. 


As an EV Charger Specialist, you will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying customers within our Minnesota market. With customers identified, you will then work individually and with your team colleagues to develop, present, and close a package of solutions to meet the needs of these customers. This full-time W2 position is compensated as base plus commission, with benefits and the potential for merit bonuses based on individual and team success. Our commission and bonus structure is designed to encourage long-term success for our sales team, our customers, and our company.


Once a project is successfully closed, our operations team takes over day-to-day responsibility for project execution, with the sales team providing general continuity and support to ensure the customer’s needs are met throughout the project.


This role reports directly to our VP of Sales. Our ideal candidate is driven by success, well-organized, self-motivated, and collaborative in delivering great outcomes to our customers as they deploy EV charging infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of previous sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business, with specific identifiable examples to be provided during the interview process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proficiently conduct technical and non-technical internal and external conversations.
  • Ability to understand the specifications and limitations of existing customer electrical infrastructure and to scope EV Charger project needs accordingly.
  • Strong drive for success and growth mindset toward continuous improvement.


Additional Context for Role & Experience

  • Working familiarity with electrical infrastructure and terminology is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in EV Charging is preferred, but not required for success.
  • Limited travel may be required depending on customer needs.
