Description

We are currently seeking a passionate System/Software Analyst to review, maintain and install software solutions.


The ideal candidate will be able to review software application standards and technical designs as well as implement new software platforms and work with 3rd party vendors.


The ideal candidate can support and/or install software applications/ operating systems and will participate in the testing process via test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.


Responsibilities:

  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality.
  • Integrate new systems with existing systems.
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation.
  • Project planning and project management.
  • Maintains compliance standards.
  • Implement new software platforms; and work with 3rd party vendors.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff to gather and document business requirements.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment.
  • Participation in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provide technical guidance to business users to ensure effective use of systems and applications.
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
  • Document and maintain software functionality.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices, standards, and regulations.


Requirements

  • Proven work experience in system support and/or database management.
  • Hands on experience in implementing and maintaining software/system applications.
  • Hands on experience in relational databases, SQL, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of SharePoint systems and Microsoft applications is a plus.
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications.
  • Installing and configuring operating systems and application software.


Education, Qualifications & Experiences

The ideal candidate should have a relevant degree or diploma within the information technology field and/or Certification or similar experience.


The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of applicable experience.

  • Proficient in SQL queries, stored procedures and working with relational databases like SQL server and ERP systems.

  • General programming skills.
  • SharePoint, MS Dynamics, HTML, and other related software will be considered in lieu of SQL Experience.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field and someone who can rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The ideal candidate will work as a subject matter expert with minimum supervision. The primary job functions will exercise independent judgment when required and this person will typically report to a department manager.
