Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at De Soto’s Center-Based Program. This position focuses on supporting high school students (grades 9-12) with disabilities, helping them achieve their communication and language goals. The role is part-time, with a flexible schedule of up to 2.5 days per week, providing an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in high school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Kansas SLP license.
- Experience working with high school-aged students.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
