Our client is an environmental consulting and construction firm that designs and implements sustainable environmental solutions, including solid and hazardous waste management, landfill gas, site remediation, renewable energy, and regulatory compliance. They have an immediate opportunity for an onsite/hybrid Senior Hydrogeologist within Bellevue, WA or Portland, OR office, remote in the Pacific Northwest or western U.S. potentially.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team and play a key role in planning and executing hydrogeology projects in the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the field, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute scientific projects addressing unique or complex problems in hydrogeology.
  • Communicate with clients as Project Manager, Client Manager, or Technical Manager to ensure project success.
  • Deliver projects on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Write and prepare technical reports, and conduct quality control reviews on work products.
  • Delegate project tasks to junior staff, and coordinate field work as needed.
  • Lead permitting and regulatory agency coordination efforts.
  • Solicit client feedback, anticipate potential issues, and develop solutions.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff to support their growth and career development.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for project execution.
  • Develop relationships with technical experts and clients.
  • Actively participate in conferences, present on technical topics, and engage in professional associations.
  • Review and improve SOPs, standards, and templates, and develop new ones as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Chemistry, or related science major with hydrogeology coursework required. Masters or PhD is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and groundwater statistical analysis software preferred.
  • Experience in landfill and/or coal combustion residuals (CCR) projects preferred.
  • Professional registration (P.G., R.G., LHG) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

Salary: $90k - $154k (depending on experience)
