Position Summary:


The Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and presenting meaningful reports, analyzing financial data, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize revenue cycle operations. Your expertise will play a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.


The Analyst will be articulate, analytical, and a team player who understands the power of data. Understanding the details from analyzing data from the source system, using tools like Excel and BI, with dialogue with the operational capacities and converting them into the big picture through storytelling in PowerPoint which can be used for the most executives in our company.


The location for this position is in Mesa Arizona and is a hybrid position with 60% of the time expected to be in office. Must be willing to travel domestically and globally as needed.


Essential Functions:


Duties of the Financial Analyst will include, but not be limited to the following:


  • Create and prepare reports and new approaches (analytics, BI, Visualizations, etc.) for Finance operation and revenue cycle management that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions.
  • Develop and generate ad-hoc business office reports to assist leaders on the Revenue Cycle Operations team and all operating sites of service with cash and A/R reporting.
  • Provides support to the Revenue Cycle Operations team and each of its departments to track productivity, quality, staffing patterns, expenses, and efficiency metrics.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to identify revenue cycle improvement opportunities, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and assess financial risks.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, analyze variances, and propose actionable recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, validate information, and identify areas of improvement in revenue cycle processes.
  • Conduct trend analysis on revenue cycle data to identify patterns and potential operational inefficiencies.
  • Generate regular reports and present findings to management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending solutions.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making related to revenue cycle management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and best practices to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and technological advancements impacting revenue cycle management.
  • Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes as needed.
  • Use of modeling, testing, and data models to improve the flow of information through the department and organization.

  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

The individual in this position must possess the following qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial analysis or finance operations. Healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business/Health Administration, or a related field, an Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, BI, Access, Visio, and Power Apps including BI.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within the healthcare or ambulance revenue cycle industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and interpret complex financial information.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management processes, healthcare billing, and reimbursement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving abilities and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
