About the Role

Y-mAbs seeks a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to support our cell-based assay capabilities to screen, characterize, and evaluate drug candidates. This position will join a team of scientists at the NJ R&D Laboratory to help advance new cancer therapeutics from basic concepts to IND-ready pharmaceuticals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cellular characterization of new drug candidates using flow cytometry.
  • Routine cell culturing, cell banking, and cell typing.
  • Follow established assay protocols.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records of samples, experiments, and results.
  • Work with NJ and DK-based scientists to review, analyze, and interpret results.
  • Support in lab operations: ordering, shipping, and receiving.


Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree in biology/chemistry/Biochemistry (or similar), Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in routine mammalian cell culture and cell handling in industry or clinical settings (both suspension and adherent cell types).
  • Experience with handling blood products, ex-vivo tissue processing, and immune cell isolation is a plus.
  • 1+ year experience with flow cytometry (Attune Nxt preferred) and cell-based binding assays.
  • Experience with FlowJo and GraphPad Prism.
  • Demonstrated the ability to communicate complex ideas and datasets in presentations and formal reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with our team in Denmark.


This position is based in our Nutley, New Jersey laboratory.
