Reliable Health Care is hiring a Behavioral Health Certification Specialist for the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), Bureau of Health Wellness and Prevention.

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Certification Specialist to join the DPBH team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mental health and substance use counseling and a commitment to improving the well-being of clients through effective certification and oversight of behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of behavioral health programs to ensure compliance with state and national accreditation standards.
  • Provide expert guidance to healthcare providers on best practices in mental health and substance use counseling, treatment, prevention, and other associated programs.
  • Develop and implement training programs for mental health professionals seeking certification.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and accreditation requirements affecting behavioral health services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality of behavioral health care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work, or a closely related academic field.
  • Two years of post-master’s degree professional mental health counseling experience.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a master’s degree level as described above.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in a regulatory or accreditation environment.
  • Familiarity with program evaluation techniques and quality improvement processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.32 - $36.10 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
