Global Sourcing DirectorLocation: On-Site — Chapel Hill, NC🌍 SummaryA rapidly scaling clean-energy manufacturer is opening a new U.S. production site in North Carolina and is seeking a Global Sourcing Director to architect and lead its sourcing strategy across the U.S., Asia, Europe, and South America.This leader will own the global sourcing roadmap, develop supplier partnerships, negotiate pricing and contracts, drive cost and quality performance, and build the procurement team that ensures secure, reliable supply for core product categories—including connectors, cables, inverters, panels, BESS equipment, services, and logistics.This is a high-impact role requiring deep global experience, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and production to ensure steady execution in a fast-growth environment.🔑 Key ResponsibilitiesLead global sourcing for connectors, cables, inverters, panels, BESS equipment, services, and logisticsBuild, mentor, and scale a high-performing procurement teamNegotiate contracts, pricing, SLAs, and delivery terms across multiple regionsManage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and corrective action plansDevelop multi-sourcing strategies to reduce risk and improve supply resiliencyPartner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and production teamsImprove logistics flows and optimize delivery lead times and costTrack and report cost savings, supplier performance metrics, and on-time delivery🎯 Requirements10+ years of sourcing or procurement experience supporting global supply chainsBackground in energy, manufacturing, or electronics requiredProven success leading international procurement or sourcing teamsStrong negotiation capabilities across the U.S., Asia, Europe, and South AmericaKnowledge of global logistics, trade rules, customs, and complianceData-driven decision-making and strong execution skills in high-growth environmentsClear, confident communicator with exceptional supplier-management ability
