Advanced Material Processing (AMP) is a platform company for May River Capital, a private equity firm focused on industrial growth companies. AMP specializes in material processing and combines leading equipment manufacturers to advance engineering capabilities for customers. They serve sectors such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, and emerging markets like cannabis. The two companies that make up AMP are Kason Corporation and Marion Process Solutions, which have decades of experience in designing and manufacturing processing equipment for various industries.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of Global Testing at Advanced Material Processing. The Director of Global Testing is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day testing operations, develop and maintain world class test labs, processes, and standard work across all test facilities. Ensure the laboratories serve as customer showpieces, demonstrating our commitment as an organization to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. Some remote work is acceptable, but the role is primarily located in Monroe, NC or Marion, IA.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science); advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory or related environment.

• Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality management systems.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with Lean principles and methodologies.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 25%.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Must be able to work from one of AMP’s testing facilities in a player coach role while providing direction for other sites.
