Lakeway Vision Assocaites is an established private practice near beautiful Lake Travis. We provide full-scope optometric vision and eye care services with a goal of providing evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered care for all ages.
Role Description
This is a 4 day per week, on-site role for an Associate Optometrist at Lakeway Vision Associates in Austin, TX with the option to expand to 5 days per week in the future. The Associate Optometrist will be responsible for performing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and treating vision and eye health problems, prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and providing pre- and post-operative care for patients. Our Monday-through-Friday work week provides the opportunity for excellent work-life balance and our thoughtful patient schedule allows adequate time for listening to and communicating with patients.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in comprehensive eye care as well as acute care and chronic disease management
- Experience in prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Ability to provide excellent patient care and communication
- Knowledge of eye diseases and treatment options
- Enthusiasm for staying up to date on the latest advancements in eye care
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry
- License to practice optometry in the state of Texas
