Job Title: Solution Architect (Subject Matter Expert)

Location: San Antonio, TX (100% On-site No remote or No Hybrid) Looking for Local Candidates in Texas

Base Salary: 90k to 130k

Not looking for Vendor Help on this Opportunity

Must be able to go Direct perm with HCL Tech or willing to transfer to HCL Tech to be sponsored


Must Have Experience:

  • End to End Umbrella insurance integration
  • Must have Property & Causality (P&C)
  • Experience with Digital road map and able to design
  • Experience as a Developer and customize the solutions as per customer ask.
  • Extensive knowledge in Personal lines Policy Management, experience with Modern Cloud solutions built on AWS services. Strong technology strategy experience, architecture experience, modern cloud design include application, data, infrastructure, zero trust security designs, operational resiliency
  • Functional/Technical role 80/20 split


  • MUST HAVE P&C Insurance Experience (Umbrella ) with end to end understanding of flow, integrated partners, digital road map and able to design, developer and customize the solutions as per customer ask.
  • Extensive knowledge in Personal lines Policy Management, experience with Modern Cloud solutions built on AWS services. Strong technology strategy experience, architecture experience, modern cloud design include application, data, infrastructure, zero trust security designs, operational resiliency
  • Ideally the candidate will have recent experience with CRM- Salesforce and Guidewire Cloud for Policy, and prior exposure to processes/culture at Client
  • What are the specific work tasks that these employees will be expected to perform? Design, develop, code, and test significant cross functional technical solutions, often collaborating with engineers or architects outside of team/department.
  • Drive innovative technology strategy within the domain aligning with Chief Technology Office - Architecture
  • Work with business, CTO and P&C staff engineers to author Master Plans (Biz strategy), Blueprints (Tech strategy), HLD and LLD
  • Lead code/design reviews to ensure the delivered solution aligns to architectural direction
  • Identifies and addresses production issue trends and establishes and shares troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Assist in building Permit Processes (Permit to Design, Permit to Build, Permit to Operate)
  • Mentor and coach experienced engineers to best practices on our Cloud stack
  • Work with architecture to define directions for key technologies that impact the enterprise or a differentiating capability within a domain.
  • Use innovative problem solving and critical thinking approaches to proactively solve a broad range of problems across technologies.
  • Leverages Site Reliability Engineering practices in their domain.
  • Experience briefing and advising executive leadership on technology initiatives.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
