Senior Data Engineer

Our financial services client is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Data & AI Platforms team, responsible for maintaining and advancing a comprehensive data ecosystem that supports B2B SaaS products. Does this excite you?

Utilizing AI-driven decision tools, predictive analytics, and data-rich platforms, they empower clients to uncover emerging opportunities and make data-informed decisions that enhance long-term performance.


THE ROLE

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and product managers to design and develop next-generation data and AI platforms.
  • Support the migration of products from outdated infrastructure and assist product teams in leveraging our platforms for launching new products and generative AI applications.
  • Design and build functionality for AI platforms that facilitates the development of high-quality multimodal generative AI applications, including tools for accuracy, evaluation, and implementation guardrails.
  • Create and enhance data platform capabilities for scalable and reliable data ingestion, storage, validation, governance, monitoring, and ELT processes.
  • Apply best practices in software, data, and ML/AI engineering, including those related to development lifecycle, testing, performance optimization, and scaling.
  • Identify and integrate new technologies and tools to boost efficiency and productivity.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A successful Senior Data Engineer for this role will likely possess:

  • 3+ years experience in Data Engineering with advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with Spark is required, with Strong understanding of data engineering best practices, including ETL/ELT, data monitoring, observability, and validations.
  • Deep understanding in handling big data, scaling data processing, distributed computing, and production support.
  • Exposure to generative AI (including LLMs, RAG, AI agents) is preferred; other machine learning experience is also a plus.
